Supporting Young Talent with Music Grants
The Friends of Kingston Music Service (FKMS) is a local charity dedicated to enhancing music education in the borough of Kingston upon Thames. FKMS is dedicated to nurturing children’s musical dreams by providing grants and bursaries, fostering a lifelong passion for music and supporting their artistic journey.

Hardship Funds & Bursaries
We currently offer a Temporary Hardship Bursary to Kingston Music Service (KMS) students who are faced with a change in circumstances, which means they can no longer afford their music tuition.
We also run the Clive Searby Brass Education Fund, a scholarship programme that offers students who show musical potential the opportunity to learn a brass instrument.

Sponsor a Child
Learning a musical instrument is expensive and becoming increasingly out of reach for many children.
